Well known for its climate of high summer humidity and seasonal rainfall in winter and spring, the region has the fortune of autumn ripening. This gives the grapes striking fruit flavors along with natural acidity and fine tannins.

This unique maritime climate provides the perfect conditions to produce the great tastes and award-winning wines of the region, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Grigio plus other varieties in lower volumes such as Shiraz, Sparkling, Moscato & Sauv Blanc.

With four soil types across the area, our local winemakers are able to truly reflect the character and diversity of this beautiful landscape. Our region now hosts 200 small scale vineyards and over 50 cellar doors.
