Terms & Conditions

Tours, Wedding Guest Transport & All Other Transport

Winery Tours:

General Terms:

  • A minimum of 6-7 passengers for tour to proceed.

  • All tours are escorted by an experienced host.

  • Proof of age may be requested at the discretion of wineries.

  • Tours will leave according to times stated on itineraries and will not wait for "latecomers". 

  • We accept no responsibility for passengers failing to be at designated pick up points at designated times.

  • No refund is provided for passengers failing to meet our tour at designated times.

  • No responsibility is taken for passengers leaving pick up locations if our vehicles are not present at the scheduled departure time.

  • We accept no responsibility for passengers missing our tour if pick up location is changed and we are not advised.

  • We accept no responsibility for lost or stolen property.

  • We reserve the right to alter any part of the itinerary without notice.

  • We reserve the right to use alternate vehicles and operators.

  • Passengers must pay for tours prior to embarkation.

  • Individuals are responsible for any damage inflicted on our vehicles or at wineries.

  • We reserve the right to alter the itinerary and use other tour providers if necessary. We accept no responsibility or liability for damage, loss, injury, delays or other problems whatsoever resulting directly or indirectly on a Watson The Grapevine tour.

  • Tours are subject to availability.

  • Whilst travelling on board our vehicle and in the cellar doors, there is to be no consumption of own food, alcohol, or smoking of cigars/cigarettes or E-cigarettes. Any damage incurred to the vehicle by patrons will be paid in full by them within seven (7) days including a cleaning fee of no less than $160. Seat belts must be worn at all times.

Alcohol Consumption:

  • Watson The Grapevine or the wineries will not accept intoxicated behaviour. Federal, State and Local Council drinking laws apply. There is no drinking of alcohol on our mini buses or Vans. Drinking alcohol on board our vehicles does not comply with local laws or our Public Liability Insurance. Customers caught drinking alcohol on board our buses will have the alcohol removed. Unopened alcohol will of course be allowed on the bus and must be kept in a secure spot at all times.

  • Watson The Grapevine encourages responsible drinking, and if it is felt in the opinion of the driver, that the comfort & safety of passengers is being compromised, the offending party shall no longer participate on the tour. They will be dropped off at a safe location and Watson The Grapevine will arrange a taxi, and at the clients own personal cost, make their own way back to their accommodation.

Hens and Bucks:

  • Whilst we want all of our tour participants to have a fun and exciting day, no hens or bucks rude attire or paraphernalia is accepted at the wineries.

  • Smart casual dress only.

Tour Variations, Covid-19 & Cancellations:

  • Tour variations and cancellations may occur due to extreme weather conditions, vineyard closures, last minute changes received from vineyards or traffic disruptions or someone is unable to attend due to contracting Covid-19.

  • If any of these circumstances should arise, Watson The Grapevine will revise the itinerary to impact as little as possible on the remainder of the tour.

  • Postponement can also be arranged in most cases with both parties agreeing to a new date set forth by the guests affected.

Tour Payments:

  • Deposit Of 1-3 Person payment is required to confirm tour booking.

  • All tour numbers must be confirmed 14 days prior to event date.

  • Balance Of Payment Must Be Made 14 days prior to the event date

Cancellation Penalties For All Situations Including Covid-19 Occurrence:

For all bookings made with Watson The Grapevine the following penalties apply:

  • For Tour Cancellations advised by Guests, from time of booking and paying deposit  and up to 15 Days prior to event date 1-3 persons deposit payment made at time of booking tour as a penalty applies. This charge is for time & administration of planning and booking of tour and liaising with venues. 

  • For any Group Tour cancellations with less than 14 days to 0 hours notice or "no show" 100% cancellation penalty applies on total tour amount.

  • For any Person/s unable to attend a booked tour these penalties apply: 

  • For persons unable to attend 13 days or less to event date NO REFUND will be given and 100% cost per person is charged.

  • If a Tour is unable to proceed due to a State Government Mandated Lockdown the following applies: Postponement of Tour and another date is mutually agreed upon.

  • All monies paid are kept to facilitate next tour date, an updated schedule is planned and given to guests. 

 


Bad Weather and Bushfire Risk Policy:

  • Watson The Grapevine does not accept cancellations in instances of bad weather.

  • Due to the Mornington Peninsula region being a high fire risk area, any days deemed by the operator to be unfit for a tour due to high fire risks will be cancelled and money refunded or re-scheduled.

 

Payment Requirements:

  • 1-3 Persons Deposit due receipt of invoice to confirm booking. No venues will be booked until payment is received. Balance of Payment is due 14 days prior to the event date.

  • Full payment is also required at time of booking if tour is scheduled within 14 days from booking date.

Payment Options:

  • Bank Account direct which will be supplied at time of confirmation of booking.

  • Group bookings must be paid in full at least 1 month prior to tour date.

  • Payment is required in full prior to the tour commencing.

  • A reminder may be sent to main organiser that has booked tour if payment is not made within the required time frame.

Wedding Guest Transfers Cancellations Policy, All Other Transport Cancellations Policy & For All  Covid-19 Related Cancellations Policy

In the event of a Postponement, the following criteria is applicable:

  • If an event is cancelled by 3rd party (Wedding Venue) or Any Venue or in the event that all parties concerned are unable to proceed due any circumstance beyond their control (Including a Government Mandated Lockdown for Covid-19 ) a postponement date is required to be supplied and a postponement contract is sent through with the new event date.

  • All monies paid is held over until new event date is carried out.

  • See Below For Cancellation Fee for 7 Days or less notice, this applies for all Transport.

For All Cancellations(Covid-19 Included: ie; Where No Lock Down Is In Place And Wedding/Event Can Still Proceed):

  • To cover our time for all communication, administration to facilitate the anticipated services required for the event and to cover the costs of any sub-contractors time the following Late Cancellation Fees Apply:

  • All payments made up to 45 days prior to event date incur a fee of the 10% deposit paid to confirm booking with any balance of money paid fully refunded.

 

  • After 45 Days Up & To 30 Days to the event date a Late Cancellation Fee Of $300 applies with any balance paid fully refunded.

  • After 30 days and up to 7 Days prior to the event date a Late Cancellation Fee Of $500 applies and any balance of money paid is fully refunded.

 

  • After 7 Days prior to the event date we have a NO REFUND POLICY.

 

  • We accept a postponement date only and an administration fee of $150 for any late cancellations is charged on top of what has been already paid and Invoiced with updated event date Invoice. Payable within 7 days of updated Invoice being received

Privacy Policy
 

Watson The Grapevine takes your right to privacy seriously. This privacy policy deals with personally-identifiable information (referred to as “data” below) that may be collected by this site. This policy does not apply to other entities that are not owned or controlled by Watson The Grapevine, nor does it apply to persons that are employees or agents of the Watson The Grapevine, or that are not under the site editor’s control. Please take time to read this site’s Terms of use.

We may take photos and use other recording devices and use these photos on our private and public websites and advertising materials such as Facebook, Instagram and on www.watsonthegrapevine.com.au, if you do not wish to have your photo shared please let the tour guide know at the beginning of the tour.

Collection of Data & Use:

 

  • When contacting Watson The Grapevine through a web form you may be asked to provide contact details including Name, Email Address and Phone Number.

  • As on many web sites, the site editor may also automatically receive general information that is contained in server log files, such as your IP address, and cookie information.

  • Watson The Grapevine does not sell your data and will make every effort to prevent your data being made available to third parties without your consent, unless

    • Provided for otherwise in this Privacy Policy;

    • Your consent is obtained, such as when you choose to opt-in or opt-out for the sharing of data;

    • A service provided on our site requires interaction with a third party, or is provided by a third party, such as an application service provider;

    • Pursuant to legal action or law enforcement;

    • This site is purchased by a third party, in which case that third party will be able to use the data in the same manner as set forth in this policy.
